Kent time
My phone thinks I'm in France so it's reset the clock an hour ahead and hooked me on to a French network. (To be fair, we are only about 20 miles from the French coast, but there's a fair bit of water and a whole world of difference between here and there.) This time/space confusion made setting my alarm for the 6.02 sunrise quite tricky. What if Vodaphone re-set my clock in the middle of the night? That would mean I'd get up at 5.02, or perhaps I should set it for 7.02, just in case? In the end it didn't matter as I didn't sleep and was out of bed as soon as I sensed it was getting light.
It was a treat and I'm glad I didn't miss it. It was a beautiful start to a spectacular day.
24 degrees, blue skies, cool breeze. Breakfast outside, sea in the distance, kids playing garden games, colouring, reading. A walk to Walmer Castle and half a cider in the garden of the local pub, which is aptly named 'The Rising Sun'.
