Let's focus...
This sinister glowing set of tubes is the output of the 532 nm picosecond laser that is used to pump an optical parametric oscillator (translation: it's funky science stuff with lasers, you guys!)
Since I'm always banging on about the laser, I thought I should put a pic of it in my journal! I spend way too much time on experiments that use this bad boy. Most of the light I use is in the infra-red region of the spectrum, but I could modify a camera to take pics of that I guess... Hmm....
BTW: the green glow makes me think of Stephen King's the Tommyknockers and it FREAKS ME OUT WHEN I WORK LATE!
