Flour Mill

Carr's Hutchisons Mill, Kirkcaldy.

This mill was rebuilt a couple of years ago and now is a £17 million state-of-the-art Flour Mill fitted with the latest machinery, making it one of the most technologically advanced and efficient sites in Europe.

The grain arrives by ship to the harbour alongside. The harbour was refurbished and reopened for cargo vessels in 2011.

This view was taken in the warm early morning hazy sunlight. Just as well I had an early start today as the cloud thickened and eventually turned to rain as the day progressed.
