Day 1 over!

Come on, own up. Who thought I was going to have a smooth ride today? Lol

Both woke early (I checked my clock at 3.20am last look, before alarm woke me at 6.10)

We were ready at the bus stop at 7.20, for a 7.28 bus. By 7.45 I was anxious that perhaps we were in the wrong place. Plans were not going to...well, plan. I dashed back to get the car. Still no bus. H jumped in and I drove him to the next village where I saw an older nice looking lad in Cromer Academy uniform. I stopped & worried that I was by now significantly late setting off for work, & made a snap decision to leave Henry with the others children.

Dashed to work, and parked. Got on a bus at 8.30 where it proceeded to move as fast as something out of the Flintstones. I used my time wisely - I rang the bus company, who said the school bus left late as it had a technical problem. I texted Jon to ask him to ring the school. I rang my boss to say I would be late. I then sat and took lots of deep breaths, saying over to myself that there was nothing more I could do.

I got to work and all was fine. I love it. They were kind and friendly - and I have the view of Norwich castle from my window. I spent half an hour at lunch time sitting in the bustle of a beautiful city, and felt like my life had just been picked up and moved to the next county. I feel happy again.

School contacted me to say Henry arrived courtesy of the year 11's dad who I'd left him with at the bus stop. It was a relief to know he was safe.

I left the office at 5.15....I didn't know where the 'going home' bus stop was! I do now. Home at 6.30.

Ready for bed by 8.30. Tomorrow we try the same plan again! Fingers crossed!
