Beech Leaves and Path

Got up too late to make the gym, so decided to visit a local wood on the way into work.  This is a little experiment as I was attracted to a number of beech saplings that had held on to their leaves throughout the winter.  Not sure it worked but I like how the glow from the path echoed the colour of the leaves.

Popped to see my boss after work.  She has recently undergone major surgery so will be off work for a while.  Pleased to find her in good spirits and despite the operation limiting her ability to lift and carry (and that includes her 2-year-old daughter), I'm sure she will soon be on the mend.  To suddenly be prevented from doing such simple things as lifting a kettle must be very frustrating.
