At the Civil Service
We had breakfast here for our third time this morning. Their coffee is delicious and the food is good too. Not to mention that their service is definitely civil as advertised. This is through the water bottles as we sat eating at our table toward the back.
We are having a quiet day today. Tomorrow we take off for Europe so I wanted to do a wash today and repack everything to get ready for our eight pm flght tomorrow. I won't have much time during the day because we are meeting friends from the Mid-Hudson Valley tomorrow at the Met to see an exhibit and have lunch together. These are good friends we haven't seen in years.
Right now Arvin is napping and I have been fiddling with the photos I've taken today. We are having dinner with Jason tonight. We're considering going to the Brooklyn Botanical Garden for a walk this afternoon but haven't budged so that might not happen. It is good to get some rest and relaxation time. So far we are having a lovely visit here.
We never did go to the botanical garden. Instead I got most of the packing done and bought some fruit and nuts to carry on the trip to Athens. We went to Pilar, a great Cuban restaurant for dinner with Jason. Yummy food indeed. Later I plan to finish confirming our trip tickets and get electronic boarding passes for the trip. Tried earlier but it was too early.
Was able to check in. All set to go. Put some photos from today here:
