Tree Peony
One of the garden highlights last year was the tree peony. It has decided to come back for another year.
It is a fascinating plant. The thick branches come shooting straight up from the base and, at this time of year, everything happens at the tip. Leaves and flower buds are now beginning to unfurl.
I cleared some shrubs round about with liberal use of the loppers. Clearing the debris is going to take longer than it did to create it in the first place. A bonfire is called for.
