Halfway Down

I don't know why, but today seems to have included an extraordinary  number of stairs, including this one that lead me to evening Library supervision and then away again towards the final flight that must always close my day.  The overwhelming feeling (in addition to the ache in my legs) was that of  "Am I half way up or half way down?"  Metaphors intended.  cue song
