Above Jujols

Today was my first group walk of the year and it proved more strenuous than expected, 18 kilometres and 1000 meters of ascent.  It was incredibly beautiful as we walked for large parts of the day opposite the Canigou massif, visited an old marble quarry and walked through shady woods where the first spring flowers were making an appearance.  There were also two birthdays so the aperitif lunch break was a pleasant interlude.  The only downside is that all the food has to be shared out and carried up there.  On occasions I feel like a mule!  More photos here.
