"Whatever"
Back blipping on Monday
We had an exhausting morning, touring rather a lot of temples in Chiang Mai. I took lots of pictures, and will eventually upload at least some of them to Flickr when I get organised, but really one temple rather blurred into another. It took me an hour or more of googling and reviewing photos to work out which pictures were taken at which temple - we had visited the temples in a different order to that on our printed guide!
There was quite a rain storm in the afternoon, which cooled things down nicely for our evening exertions.
In the evening, we had a trip to the Night Bazaar, which was a bit disappointing, partly because we were a little early and it was only half open. I think we might go back there tomorrow evening.
We were early because we had a meal booked at a restaurant that was serving "typical Northern Thai" food. Unfortunately, despite the meal having been booked by our guide, who was fully aware that Walter doesn't eat meat, the initial meal was virtually ALL meat, and they had to specially cook some extra food. They did so with apparent good humour.
But the atmosphere was good, and the dancing shows were fun. The best bit was the show outside, by the Hill Tribes. This show was clearly an amateur show - no-one was perfect in their moves, but all - apart from one, were good humoured and having a great time. But there was one teenager who clearly DID NOT want to be any part of this spectacle. I couldn't resist blipping her.
