I'm back blipping this as I didn't have my laptop with me at the weekend so couldn't upload any of my photos - other than iPhone pics, and I wanted to wait and look at all of them before I chose today's blip.

I'd offered to be the photographer of Karen's 50th birthday weekend, so it was a difficult choice as there were so many to choose from, including once particularly funny one that I had planned to use. But going through them all last night, Alan said he really liked this one of our doorman at The Grosvenor.

We arrived at The Grosvenor House Hotel at 10.30 and met up with everyone in the Executive Lounge after checking in. It was a nice way to get to know one another, as we're all friends of Karen & Andy's, but no-one knew anyone else - everyone was lovely, and we all got on very well.

We got taxis to Bond Street for a bit of shopping - all the ladies were celebrating birthdays, and all bar one of us was 50. We then went to Fortum  & Mason for lunch, which was very nice!

The weather was lovely so we strolled back to the hotel to get ready for the evening.  

We met back up in the Executive Lounge for complimentary pre-dinner drinks and then went to Montpeliano in Knightsbridge which was a lovely Italian restaurant, and finished the evening off with drinks in the Sky Bar at the Hilton Hotel.  I think we finally got to bed about 2am!

It was a wonderful day and evening, and a lovely treat for us all, thanks to Karen & Andy.
