Typical water source

Maybe a billion or at least a very large number of millions of people all over the World get their water from places like this or worse.
When we installed a pump today, this was the source for 206 villagers.
It is close to the village but will almost surely dry completely before new rains come towards the end of the year.
The cost of solving this problem here was just under 250 Euro.
Water for life for about 1 Pound, when the village women can maintain the pump.
Not really rocket science?
