Stormclouds
The title is a wee bit of a lie here as these are the clouds that appeared after the storm that washed over Cambridge earlier.
And 'washed over' just about covers it, as would 'thoroughly rinsed', 'drowned', 'scrubbed clean' - the rain was coming down so much that Parker's Piece cleared in an instant after work and the only folks left were me and the folks from Cambridge Assessment who have a kickabout on Wednesdays.
Sadly this did also mean the camera (even though it was just the little one) stayed in the bag even though some of the rain shots would have been awesome - at one point it was coming down so heavily I couldn't actually see to the edge of the green - but still the footballers played on! Highlights of the play included quite a few hilarious slides/slips with waves of water accompanying them and several cases of goalkeeping incompetence by yours truly as the ball must have spun out of my hands five or six times - all good fun though!
A spot of rounders on Thursday and I'm determined to actually get a Blip of people playing as I've missed opportunities the last few times, we'll see how it goes as it's also... deadline day - plenty of reports to write up!
