The "Whistle Walkers"

Here is our good friend BJ tackling a tricky stile on our route today. We walked in the South Tyne valley with glorious open views. The weather was not bad, although it felt very muggy and the occasional rain showers did nothing to dispel this.

BJ lives in California but visits the NE regularly. She always comes to walk with us on Wednesdays and has christened the Haltwhistle Walkers the "Whistle Walkers". She is an honorary member of our group and we love it when she comes. During this visit she is looking forward to observing how we Brits celebrate the Diamond Jubilee.
