A Day Getting Better

I ventured out in the morning to take some photos and to collect Ali from the cattery. I didn't fancy getting out the camera  in the terrible weather, so had a cup of tea with a friend instead. 

After getting Ali I braved the sleet to take 3 shots under a huge brolly and hurried home.

This afternoon we did cleaning at the holiday lodge and, as the weather was getting better, we took the way home via Ullswater. I like to stop and look across to Sandwick  and Winter Crag. I think this image sums up the whole day - cold snowy and grey with bright, warm and sunny parts.
