Remedy for saharan sand

A case of if you get it dirty, you clean it!

I borrowed Gails' car on Friday. It was a lovely day for most of the day and I managed to get to drive home with the roof down. However, in the middle of the day there was rain for about 30 minutes. You may recall that Friday there was talk about poor air quality with a number of contributing factors coming together. One of those was sand being blown in from the Sahara.

When I went out to the car to come home, it was brown rather than its shiny metallic grey. A fine layer of sand all over the surface. Just about the worst thing to get on your pristine nicely polished and shiny car :-(

Today, I had to wash it - carefully! Firstly a careful rinse and then proper wash. I then also got another waxing, and, I don't mean having its hairs pulled out by some masochistic beautician!
