Line of Beauty
We've started trying to get to grips with the garden today. A smal front and back garden, but such a lot to do ! Weatherwise, heavily overcast this morning, then heavy rain, then lighter rain - before sunshine after 6pm.
Three things of beauty in and from the garden:
1. This Snakes Head Frittilary. The purple pattern of the flowers always looks a bit "victorian" to me. As well as being a garden plant it is a wild plant, but 80% of the flowering population in the UK is found in one meadow in Cricklade, Wiltshire.
2. The Blue Tits, who are trying to nest in the new nest-box, and did not appreciate out invasion of their space.
3. And at 8.41pm we were out watching the ISS. Following a straight line across the clear sky it passed Venus and Jupiter (we could see one moon) before disappearing somewhere over Germany.
