The 49th day of one hundred days of happiness.
What a treat. Today I splashed out and invested in a new finishing trowel. I'd been avoiding this for years because I didn't want to tie myself down to more life as a plasterer.
I was amazed at the difference, old faithful was the same shape as the new kid, and has a lovely well worn wooden handle not the supposedly comfy rubber one. Despite looking like the plaster it spreads, the original has an edge so sharp you could almost shave with it. Too sharp really, I have to blunt it with sandpaper. When the new boy has been worn in nicely with lots of rendering then it'll be retirement and an easy life for the oldster. Lucky trowel.
