My Night With Reg

Our friend Lewis was in the cast of My Night With Reg. We've been intending to go and see it for weeks but as usual we only got round to it for the last performance. 

We met his mum first for dinner at Hawksmoor and then went down to the Apollo for the performance, meeting his brother Joel on the way. 

It was excellent really sad but at the same time incredibly funny. The whole cast were excellent, although clearly Lewis stole the show as far as we were concerned. There is a point where Lewis and and other bloke (who has been in Downton apparently) get their kit off. All very funny sitting next to his mother who was franticly trying not to look at the stage;)

After the final curtain we went up to the dressing rooms to help them drink many bottles of champagne. Most of the cast and crew were up there and what a lovely bunch of folks they were letting us gatecrash their party.  It was really interesting to meet them all out of character (well everyone apart from the Downton bloke who shot off much to H's annoyance) and to have a little look at the other side of the West End.
