Castle Waardenburg

Taken during today's stroll.  Testing my new walking shoes today.  Walking less than an hour at a leisurely pace,  still,  it was obvious the shoes are a perfect fit! As if they were especially made for me!

The build of the castle started in the 13th century. Today's looks are a result of add-ons up until the 17th century. At present it is in use as an office building,  only open to the public one day a year,  our national monument day.
