It takes a while to get used to Australian wildflowers. They're not immediately beautiful, soft and luxurious... but there is something intriguing and mesmerizing about them, once you get used to them.

I think Margaret Preston 'got' their beauty. So think of her when I see the muted greens, deep reds, geometric shapes etc..

I got these from the Farmers market on the weekend from some guys who came from near Mittagong I think. Their stall smelt heavily of eucalyptus and stacked with hundreds of bunches like this. These ones smell fresh and eucalypty too.
