Rec Lake

The day was dull. It was overcast, but it was warm. I went for a late afternoon walk to Recreation Lake and admired the flotillas of ducks and reflected shadows and shapes as dark and as menacing as scary stories. Beautiful, really. Out of sight of the viewfinder a few vehicles in the car park and a stroller here and there, a group of men played a home-made game of skill throwing a stick  and measuring its distance.
