Cow Tarn

For the third week in a row the weather broke to give rain at the start of the weekend after a working week of beautiful weather. I felt the now familiar pang of Saturcholia but it didn't last too long. The sun came out in the afternoon, although the strong cold winds seemed to sap all my energy away. I don't ever remember my legs feeling so heavy - other than following some endurance event. Perhaps life is that endurance event at the moment.

I took a run over the moor and then dropped by the club to watch a bit of the first cricket game of the season, a friendly, which Ben Rhydding won comfortably. The new signings for the team look very capable. They are looking to bounce straight back up to the top tier after being relegated last season. The season proper starts next weekend.

I promised myself to stay away from the computer and mostly succeeded in that. I've indulged myself in a fair bit of reading. It was one of those days that somehow slipped away without leaving much of a mark. Perhaps I need more days like that.
