Congrats Andy and Kim

Big day for our wee town, Dunblane, today when the world’s media descended on it because Andy Murray, local boy, Olympic Gold medallist and number Three in World tennis married his long-term girlfriend Kim in the 12th century cathedral.
 
Fortunately the heavy snowstorms had stopped by the time of the wedding at 4.30 pm.
 
While people lined the centre of the town, often three deep, there was nothing like the “Murray mania” after he won the Gold medal at the Olympics and he did a walkabout in his hometown.
 
Did I see them? no, I was not prepared to stand for several hours in the hope of catching a glimpse. Saw it on the internet instead.
 
The photographer, Gordon Jack, 47, who stumbled and hit his head on a gravestone yesterday, while in the media scrum covering the wedding rehearsal, has died.

He leaves a wife and three children.
