Trench warfare

It's been a funny old day, with swings and roundabouts in full view.

But anyway, on the way to work I spotted this wonderful crop of bearded irises, and I was reminded of my aunt who, in her early 80's found love again after he husband died. Go, Iris!

Upon arriving home I was confronted with an enormous trench in front of the house. Thank goodness they've given me a bridge.
