Fine Wining and Dining!!

You can always guarantee when my brother's in town that they'll be weird and wonderful things to eat and drink on the menu!

This morning we headed into Bath where I was introduced to the Tasting Room, an independent wine and spirit merchant. As you can see, they had bottles of all shapes and sizes for sale, and a sunny little corner in which to sample the contents! We were very restrained and only came away with two very attractive bottles, Cornish Gin and Cornish Pastis!!

Chef's evening menu:

Slow Roasted Three Tomato Soup served with Miniature Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

Gascon Shoulder of Lamb roasted on a bed of Rosemary and Thyme branches

Mushrooms stuffed with Pine Nuts and Feta Cheese for the veggiehead

All washed down with a variety of wines, so forgive me if comments don't happen until tomorrow!!
