Primula viridis

Another of Knottman's botanical curiosities. From time to time you may find this green Primrose. It is a mutant from the common yellow primrose which in this wood grows all around it. The distinctively green flowers are sterile and it persists by division.

Each year we find it in the same place in the Gait Barrows National Nature Reserve.
