Royal Arch and Fountain, Broughty Ferry
A bright, sunny day but colder with occasional sleet.
I had to go back to the Optician's in the morning because the new glasses I got a couple of weeks ago were not suitable and I need another lens and frame. Hopefully in a week or so they will be ready.
We went on towards that favourite haunt of active seniors - Dobbies Garden Centre - and on the way I stopped to blip this unusual arch and the tiny matching one behind, which was a fountain. Apparently, it is the Royal Jubilee Arch and Fountain and was gifted to the town in 1887, marking Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee.
After the excitement of last night's win at the Quiz, a quieter day preparing to preach to the congregation in Jinja, Uganda. The school buildings have almost been completed which is a huge relief. In total, our small church gave £1300 which was a great effort.
