Winning Lady

A big bike race started and finished in Pleasant Point today. Saw the start and was back from town in time to see the finish. Sonewhere over two hundred competitors so the town was buzzing. All the support crews made for a mountain of people.
This girl Jeannie Blakemore grew up and went to school in Pleasant Point so it was really exciting to be standing with her parents as she crossed the line away ahead of all the other women. Her parents had never seen her race before so it was great for them.
There were several classes for the men like elite. Over 50 etc. Have sent my pic into to the local paper . It will be interesting to see if they use it.
Tonight it is watching my favourite team in the super rugby. Even though I live in Canterbury I barrack for the Highlanders and they are playing each other tonight.
