Truly Blippin' Marvelous

Reading

material for the next couple of weeks - when I'm not reading and listening to music.  Spent the day learning a new (to me) tune and playing dulcimer and recorder; then after picking up the mail I chose Will James' last book and Niel Gaiman's Neverwhere from the library.

I'm currently listening to the BBC radio adaptation of Good Omens written with Terry Pratchett.

I read Smoky, the Cowhorse (1926) many years ago.  Will James' drawings are very good and his story telling is authentic.  The American Cowboy  was published the year Will James died in 1942.

". . . and don't ever let me catch you mistreating a book like that again"
