Five petal dogwood flower.
I am back to a flower blip today. My neighbor has a wonderful dogwood tree and I noticed today that the flowers have 5 or 6 petals. I think dogwood flowers usually have four petals, right?
I photographed a different dogwood and all the flowers only had petals....kind of think that proves my point....or maybe just some have a set amount of petals.
I think I think too much about trivial things? :-))) I came back to edit this because I read that the petals are not really petals but bracts; the flower is actually the center of what looks like the flower.
Thanks for all the stars and hearts yesterday.
