Meadow Pipit

Soon this will be too common a sight to catch the eye - "just another Meadow Pipit" but for now the novelty has yet to wear off. They really are pretty little birds and today there were tons of them.

Still not seen a single Swallow or Wheatear myself but I am sure they can't be far away.

@darkpeakbirder spotted that there were Sand Martins overhead long before me - 5 in total and our joint first if the year.

lovely to hear the Curlews calling - some disputes between pairs though this evening.
