Flowers on the Canal
I awoke with a bit of a headache which lingered most of the day, so was glad to escape the office into the warm sunshine and "take the air" with a gentle stroll along the Basingstoke Canal path between Frimley Lodge Park and Mychett.
The canal was like a mirror, and dotted with nesting coots. I caught a glance of the resident heron and heard woodpeckers and other birds singing of the joys of Spring.
My eye was taken by this poignant sight of a bunch of flowers, carefully placed in a bag of water hanging from a tree. Perhaps a tribute to a loved one who also enjoyed this walk.
