Such a beautiful fur coat....
I had a really lovely day today visiting Bosham with a lovely friend.
Bosham is a small coastal village about 3 miles west of Chichester, with lovely quaint harbourside houses and a very pretty Saxon and early Norman church. The old village is right on the harbour front, and at high tide the sea comes right up into it, flooding the lower road we drove round and several parking spaces.
As it was just turning low tide we were able to walk round some of the harbour, in the wonderful warm sunshine and take a lot of shots of the waterside property and the wonderful reflections.
However the air pollution was really bad today which somewhat subdued my shots so I have decided in the end to blip this beautiful Tawny mining bee Andrena fulva.
I have a bit of a passion for our native wild bees, and this is probably one of the most beautiful with her wonderful fox-red fur coat. They are common throughout the UK (though I seldom see them) and well worth looking out for.
