Life with Alice

Alice

It was past midnight when I arrived home, after a long day of connecting trains and flights from London to Linköping. Blipbear and Kiwi mailed to Brighton and no Alice, I felt oddly alone.

So today I was very happy and excited during the hour-long drive to Alice's homehome, where she has been staying with her sister, grandma and expecting mother plus a half-brother who was also there for the Easter holidays. Apparently, she and her sister Nora have had so much fun together, playing together like the very best of friends. There have been lots of nice long walkies and free play outside in the fenced-in garden, so she has had a wonderful time on her holiday.

She was SO happy when I arrived, jumping up and down inside the fence, crying like I've never heard her do before. It was heartbreaking, and I cried when I stepped inside and she jumped up in my arms before I could lift her. She just couldn't get close enough and she covered my face in happy licks and kisses. Finally back together!

Now home and she is really happy about that, but I think she misses her sister. It must be a big contrast, going from five dogs to it just being her and me. Nora also seems to miss Alice, reportedly. Looking forward to have her warm little body next to me tonight.
