Flutterby

This afternoon Mr C and I took Ruby for a walk. Parking in Ripley, the plan was to follow the River Wey to Pyrford Lock. We have done the walk many times but not for a few years. So off we trotted across the field but then took a right turn (we should have gone left!!!!). We continued on with our walk instead of retracing our footsteps and kept to the public footpaths. Past Wisley golf course. A path also runs through Wisley Gardens, so we could admire some of the gardens through fences ~ it was very busy there. Then onto the road that took us down to the Lock and there just so happens to be a lovely pub for a much needed pit stop. After our refreshments we followed the river back to where we should have come!! All in all I think we walked about 3.5 ~ 4 miles....pretty good going for us ;-)

This beautiful peacock was sunning itself on a little molehill and just waiting to be blipped :-)
