Stunning Scatness

Words fail me about the weather on Shetland today  - superlative, sunny, scarcely a breeze. Walked my two favourite walks with lunch at the Sumburgh Hotel in between. On Scatness this morning it was utterly blissful. The sea was more lively than the weather might have suggested. Sometimes you can see Fair Isle on the horizon from this spot although not today. After lunch walked up to Sumburgh Head along the coast. There are lots of guillemots and razorbills on the rocks now but so far not too many puffins. Spotted one out to sea which satisfies that need for this trip.
