Moyra

This was to have been a blip about one of our camellias in full bloom.

While the picture is of that, the message is of our dear neighbour Moyra who lived just beyond the camellia bush.

We learned this evening she passed away yesterday in her sleep after a battle with cancer. The news was a shock: I had been planning to visit her this Saturday as I'd not seen her for a while. We moved into the neighbourhood within a couple of months of each other 27 years ago and have seen our families grow up together. Indeed, they had all just spent an enjoyable weekend together. So the news was sudden.

She was vibrant, enthusiastic, opinionated and a delight. We'll miss her deeply.
