Geek Girl Meetup

I attended Geek Girl Meetup after work today. Women involved in tech, design and startups share their experiences at such events. There were three great presentations. This last one (shown in this photo) was on Internet of Things - about 'smart' devices being connected to one another via the Internet  - e.g. a 'smart' bin sending an email when it is ready to be emptied, a 'smart' fridge creating a shopping list, or being able to text the home fridge to check if there is sufficient milk, etc. There are, of course, a number of issues related to privacy, security and potential loss of human control.
