Visitors!

I can't help being superstitious - but things really do go in threes!

Today was an 'at home' day, with a bit of tidying and sorting out.

I started by calling my future employer - who are indeed expecting me on Monday! Hooray! Had a nice chat with the boss and am really looking forward to it.

Mid morning, we received our first visitors from 'home'...oh, my mistake, this is 'home' now:-) but it was lovely to see Pauline and Richard. We chatted away a couple or 3 hours.

Late afternoon, more visitors - this time Henry's friend Jamie and his family en route to Blakeney. By this time the sun had come out and we had a lovely chat in the garden with a cup of tea. I first met Anna at the famous 'Tots in Tow' in Linton in about 2003. I don't think we have bumped into each other very often since, but when Jamie and Henry made friends earlier this year, we had cause to get in touch again via good old Facebook. Now Henry is the one who is moving away, but I know the boys will stay in touch via one means or another.

After waving these friends goodbye, the three of us headed off to Cromer. We had a wander on the beach, where I took many photo's, then we wasted a few 2p's in the arcades that have been rebuilt near the beach, following their demolition in the storms of December 2013.

Things happen in threes I said at the beginning of my blip. Well today I also received a lovely 'chicken' postcard from my lovely friend Lindsay, also from Linton. Getting something in the post is really special. So much better than a text or email. Thank you lovely Cambridgeshire people for the friendship and boost you gave us all today! It makes us realise that we are not so far away after all!
