Remembering

Today is the second anniversary since my father in law died, aged 90.  In the latter years of his life he was encouraged by my brother in law to write down those memories and thoughts which he had recounted to his family, so that important family history would be recorded for future generations.  Since his death, my sister in  law, helped by her brothers, has put together those memories, together with photographs, to create a wonderful  book which she has had privately published.
So my blip today is of that book: the picture on the front shows him as a young lieutenant in the Fleet Air Arm, during WWII  Next to the book is the very hat that he was wearing in the photograph and indeed throughout that war.
