In Nijmegen

After work I went to Nijmegen for shoe shopping. In Holland shops usually close at 6 PM, except for one evening a week, when they close at 9 PM, the so called shopping night. About half the towns/cities have a shopping night on Thursday, the other half on Friday.

I went to Nijmegen because I am very happy with the service in one particular shoe shop. I needed some new shoes, comfortable in wear, for work and for strolls through towns and museums. And I needed new walking shoes. I bought a pair of walking shoes last September, but they continue to cause blisters, I'm unable to get used to them.

I succeeded in buying both sorts of shoes. It cost me dearly. ... Let's hope they're worth the money.
