Ribbons of hope

Encountered these ribbons on St Olave's Church, Marygate just outside the Museum Gardens. Not sure what they represent, but they were obviously put there last Friday (Good Friday) as part of their worship. Must try and find out what the background story is to this but they appeared to feature messages or prayers blowing in the spring winds.
