Little Egret

Most of the day spent entertaining two grandsons, six and four. The six year old is already a keen birdwatcher and records everything he sees in his little lifetime list.

So it was RSPB and Kent Estuary shoreline today. He added Oyster Catcher and the little Egret seen above.

Lots of potential blips. Plenty of black headed gulls in focus. In the end this Egret won although it is hardly fit to publish having been too distant from the camera.

But this is my journal and as it excited my grandson, that memory is most important.
