Bee-fly and blackthorn

Spring finally seems to have arrived. The bee-flies are out in force, and the blackthorn has burst into flower, after weeks of waiting. This was taken on a very short pre-lunch walk - most of the day was spent either in town, helping Pete buy his first smart-phone (we're finally dragging him into the 21st century!) or at a Committee meeting. Isn't it always the way on beautiful days?
