Feline groovy at the seaside
Rumours that Gail and I are a soft touch seem to be circulating among the feral cat population. This is the view to the dunes from the end of our driveway. I only had the crappy 'bus' phone with me earlier, when there were three of them!
The Goliath on the left was the tom that I caught on Monday. My arm ached for hours after carrying him to the Cat's Protection rep. She was kind enough to take him to the vet in Kirkwall to get checked out, treated and 'disarmed'. He seems to be quite happy to be back in the environment he knows.
The ginger is new to me. I haven't seen it around before. If it's not careful, he or she will get a similar welcome.
I am sure that the third cat I saw this morning was Salvo and lilli's mum. I know that she regularly hunts up on the dunes so she was probably fetching breakfast for these two layabouts.
Sexism is alive and well and has tails.
