Day At The Seaside

We went to Bridlington today with our daughter and granddaughter - fabulous day out in the spring sunshine.

It was relatively quiet (apart from around the harbour area) and the sun was quite warm.

We parked up near the front at the South Beach and walked along the promenade to the harbour where we had our lunch. Fish and chips, sitting on a bench on the harbour wall - well it would be rude not to! The photo is taken from our dining bench looking back towards the town!

Had a wander around the town centre whilst Jessica had a nap in her pushchair then walked back along the front. We swapped the pushchair for a baby sling and then went on a walk on the beach down to the sea. There were a few brave souls paddling and splashing around in the water....

We collected a few shells and then wandered back to the prom for a cup of tea and toasted tea-cake.

The drive home was a bit slow in places as we caught the evening 'rush hour' around York.
