Unreal Day

Put in a call to the title company this morning that if the documents for this arrived today, we can close on the purchase today. And at 1130am, an email arrived saying that the paperwork was now in hand.

So we closed on this house at 2pm. Very pleased, but also slightly shell shocked.

There was no chance of us getting this house. It was put under contract, was then re-assigned to some (idiot) hot shot investor in the area before we could get in, he dithered and then rejected the deal at the last minute, and we stepped in. The lady who originally had it under contract dithered no end, then the title company dithered, the lady selling it dithered (although not half as much as everyone else).

So really, it's a very strange moment to actually own this house.

Unfortunately, there is a lot of junk in the house. We're going to have to do a yard sale pretty soon so we can pay for the dumpster for everything else.
