Finally fixed!

When we moved in to our house (nearly three years ago), we discovered that the oven had an improvised control knob (left pic).

About a month ago I had a letter to say that the warranty I had on the oven was about to expire! It seems the previous owners had transferred the warranty into my name when the moved and didn't tell us! A great surprise!

Today we had a new switch fitted! It's not been straight forward as this is the third repair man we've had round... it seems this one was the only one who didn't just give up when it got a bit tricky - he worked his way through the problem.

It's not a big deal and doesn't really affect our day-to-day lives but thank goodness it's fixed... we were living with the improvised switch but will be happier with the correct way to turn the oven on - without a screwdriver!!
