Camargue Horses
Wednesday 8th April 2015
We drove to Stes-Maries-de-la-Mer in the Camargue National Park. A lovely town with some interesting little shops. We visited the church and then climbed the steps to the roof. Once at the parapet you can climb the sloping roof to the ridge, which I did but thankfully Mum didn't! After a wander around the town and a picnic lunch by the sea we took a boat trip up le petit Rhone. Saw lots of Herons and Cormorants plus the famous Camargue bulls and horses. Took a detour on the way home to cross the floating bridge. A great day with some lovely scenery.
Back at the apartment the pool looked tempting but when I went for a swim I discovered the water was freezing! I didn't stay in long and won't be going in again.
